Steps to go live on Instagram

Before you start your live stream, plan what you want to talk about or share. Whether it’s a Q&A session, a behind-the-scenes look at your day, or a live tutorial, having a clear idea of your content will make your stream more engaging and effective. To go live on Instagram follow the steps below:

  • Open the Instagram app and tap on the Add (Plus sign) icon.
  • Tap on the Live option available in the bar at the bottom right corner.
  • There are various settings available that you can edit before going live. You can add a title for the live by tapping on the lines icon on the left side, the schedule icon is available below it, and you can use that to schedule your live. You can also choose your audience by tapping on the Option above the Capture button. Once you are done with all the settings, tap on the Capture button. It will show you a timer and you will go live.
  • Once you go live, you will see various options on the right side of the screen; you can mute, turn on/off the camera, change the camera and use filters. You can accept requests to join, send invitations, start questions and answers and send your live to others. To close the Live click on the Cross button at the top right corner of the screen.
