All of us have used headings on Word to enhance the visual and aesthetic appeal of the documents and to present them clearly and concisely. Word provides many options for headings, such as Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, and so on. You can use these heading types depending on the importance of the paragraphs in your document.

But sometimes, we might have to remove headings to change the style of your document or due to some other reasons. In this article, we’ll explain three ways to remove headings from Word easily.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

Method 1: Using Clear Formatting

The first method to remove headings from Word is via the Clear formatting option. This option removes any of the text enhancements that you have applied and returns the text to a raw, unformatted format.

Place your cursor on the heading and then right-click or double-click on the heading to select it. After that, you’ll see a set of options on your screen. Select Styles and then click on Clear Formatting.

After you’re done, the heading will return to an unformatted text. Take a look at the screenshot below and compare it with the above one, especially the heading titled Enabling KYCs?
