Tap the group iMessage and then tap the group icon at the top of the head.
Tap the info button.
Scroll down and then tap Leave this Conversation.

If the Leave this Conversation button is greyed out, it means that there are less than three people on the group text, in which case you can’t leave the group text.

Another possible reason for the button is greyed out or not visible when one of the members on the group text is not an iMessage user. In such cases, you’re better off convincing other group members to start a new group conversation without you.

How to remove someone else from an iMessage group text?

If you’d rather remove someone else from a group text you’re on, follow these steps.

Tap the group iMessage and then tap the group icon at the top of the head.
Tap the info button.
Swipe left on the contact you want to remove and tap Remove.
You’ll be asked for a confirmation. Tap Remove, and you’re good to go.
