If you’re having trouble with your Xfinity remote — if it’s buggy or just won’t work — one of the first and easiest ways to troubleshoot is to reset the Xfinity remote.
However, before you do that, remember that a factory reset will essentially return the remote to its out-of-the-box configuration, and you will lose any pairing setting too.
There are three different versions of Xfinity remotes (XR 11, XR 15 and XR16), and hence, three separate ways you can reset the Xfinity remote depending on the model of the one you own. Note that factory resetting your remote will unpair it with your TV, and you’re going to have to do the pairing process again.
