Cold boot it

Rebooting your TV is a more advanced way of restarting your TV. This method is called cold booting. When the TV is turned off, it hasn’t shut down completely, it remains on standby mode. Hence, a cold boot can resolve glitches or bugs in any app. You can cold boot your TV by following the steps below:

  • Press and hold the power button for a few seconds, then as the TV turns off, turn it back on again.
  • You can also remove the plug from the power socket for about a minute before re-plugging it again.

Head to the app that was glitching or causing issues and try to stream on the app.

Uninstall and reinstall the app

You can uninstall the problem-causing app which will help get rid of any cache as well as corrupted files. Remember not to lose your login credentials for the app when you reinstall it on your Samsung TV. You can uninstall an app on Samsung TV by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Press the home button and select the Apps icon.

Step 2: Go to the top-right and select the Gear (Settings) icon.

Step 3: Choose the app that you want to uninstall. Select the Delete option.

Step 4: Then select Delete again on the confirmation prompt.

Come back to the Apps page and search for the same app to reinstall it on your TV.

Update your TV

Keeping your device updated allows it to run smoothly and removes any bugs or glitches existing in the current software. You can update your Samsung TV by following the steps given below:

Step 1:Press the home or menu button on your remote.

Step 2: Head to Settings and select the Support option.

Step 3: Select the Software Updates option. Then select Update Now.

Smart Hub reset

Smart Hub reset will log you out of all apps, so keep your login credentials for all apps written down. You can reset the same by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Head to Settings and go to Support.

Step 2: Select the Device Care option.

Step 3: Go for Self Diagnosis.

Step 4: Then choose the Reset Smart Hub option.
