Take a screenshot with buttons

You can easily capture your Pixel 7’s screen using the Power and Volume buttons. Here are the steps to take a screenshot on your Pixel 7 using the buttons:

  • Go to the screen on your phone that you want to capture.
  • Press the Power and Volume Down buttons together to capture the screenshot.
  • Your device will show you the preview of the captured screenshot at the bottom left corner of the screen; from the preview, you can also share and edit the screenshot.

Take a screenshot from the App overview

To capture a screenshot on Google Pixel 7, you can also use the app overview or recent apps menu. Follow the steps below to capture a screenshot from the app overview:

  • If you use the Gesture navigation on your Pixel 7, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold for a split second to access the app overview. If you use the 3-button navigation, tap the Overview button to access the app overview.
  • Once on the app overview or recent apps menu screen, swipe left or right to choose the app for screenshot and tap on the Screenshot button available at the bottom of the screen.
  • From the screenshot preview, you can share and edit the screenshot.

Take a scrolling screenshot

To take a scrolling screenshot on your phone, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the screen that you want to capture.
  • Press the Power and Volume Down buttons together to capture the screenshot.
  • At the preview on the bottom left of the screen, tap Capture more.
  • Drag the screenshot window to your desired size and then tap on the Save button at the top left corner of the screen.
