HP is best known for its personal computers and printers, and if you have an HP printer and get some errors, you must know what that error means and how to fix it.
There are two types of errors; continuable and non-continuable errors. The continuable error means you can close the dialogue box and continue working, whereas a non-continuable error does not allow the printer to work. In non-continuable errors, you can try turning your printer off and on.
This article lists all the error codes in HP Printers and the fixes that might help you fix the error.

Common HP error codes
HP Error Codes | Reason | Solution |
---|---|---|
Printer in error state | The printer is either off, not properly connected to the computer, has no internet connection, or is low on paper or ink. | Ensure the printer is on and connected to the internet and your computer. Keep your printer’s paper tray loaded and check that the printer has enough ink. |
59.F0 | It shows when there is a problem with the internal motor of the printer, it happens when transfer alienation fails, and ITB is stuck. | Reset the printer settings and remove the surge protector; if the problem isn’t resolved, reset the ITB and check the connections, and if the ITB is damaged, you have to replace it. |
3F0 or Boot Device Not Found | This error occurs because the hard drive is damaged or not connected properly or an incorrect boot sequence in BIOS. | Restore BIOS default settings from the BIOS setup section and restart your computer; if the error still occurs, use the HP PC diagnostics to diagnose the error and check if the hard drive is damaged. |
Error 79 | It occurs when the print job is corrupted | Make sure that the firmware of your printer is up to date. If this does not help, remove all print jobs from the computer and then remove your HP printer from the list of devices in your network. Reestablish the connection and try again. |
Error code 0xc19a0003 | This is one of the most common error codes; this error indicates the ink leakage due to a damaged ink cartridge or a problem with the printhead. | Remove the damaged ink cartridge and replace it with the new cartridge. Clean the print head carefully and then restart the printer. |
Error E8 | It is a common error code in HP Laserjet printers; this error comes when there is a problem with the printer scanner, which can be software or scanner motor related. | Make sure your HP Printer software is up to date, and if the error shows up, it is a hardware issue. To resolve the issue, clean the ink cartridge and all printer rollers. |
Error 61011bed or Printer error 0x61011bed | It indicates a problem with the printer head, or it might show when the ink cartridge is not properly aligned | Remove the ink cartridge and clean the printer head properly; if that does not work, remove it and align it properly or update the printer drivers. |
