Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch Active 2, an addition to the Samsung smartwatch family which comes merely six months after its first iteration — Galaxy Active — was launched.

The watch comes in two different sizes of 40 and 44mm and in two different casings: stainless steel and aluminium. The LTE model is only available in the stainless steel casing.

Samsung Galaxy Active 2 features a curved Super AMOLED display with an upgraded UI that brings touch bezels to the primary interface, which turns both clockwise and counter-clockwise. This feature has trickled down from the Galaxy Watch, which sported physical rotating bezels that helped users navigate.

The new Galaxy smartwatch can track more than 39 workouts and also helps users monitor their progress as well as stress levels with Samsung Health app.

“With Galaxy Watch Active2, we have created a device that will enable consumers to take control of their health and wellness, and seamlessly flow between their devices and connect across the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, making their lives easier and better,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics.
