Error 907 occurs when you are downloading an app from the play store. The error code is shown in the following format: “The app could not be downloaded due to an error. (907)”.
Error 907 can occur due to the following reasons.
- Not enough space on the device.
- Problem with the cache files.
How to fix Error 907?
There are various ways by which you can fix the error. We will explain some of the ways through which you can fix the error.
Clear Google Play data as well as cache
To clear the cache, follow the instructions given below.
- Go to the Apps & notifications, click on See all apps and then select Google Play store.
- Now tap on Storage.
- On the next page, find and tap on Clear Cache and Clear Storage.

Try to unmount SD card and then download the app
To unmount the SD card, follow the steps given below.
- Go to Settings > Storage.
- Tap on the Eject button.
After unmounting the SD card, try to download the app again. This time it should install. After successful installation, you can again mount the SD card by restarting the device.
Change the app’s location
Sometimes changing the app’s location can solve the issue while updating. To change the location, follow the steps given below.
- Go to Settings > Installed apps.
- Select the app which is having a problem in download and then tap on move to phone. (If the app was installed on the SD card).
After moving the app to the phone, try updating the app again. This time, it should work.

Uninstall the updates
To uninstall the updates, follow the steps given below.
- Go to the Settings of your device and then tap on Apps & notifications.
- Search for Google Play store.
- Tap on the three-dot menu at the top-right of the display.
- Tap on Uninstall updates from the drop-down menu.
- Select OK to confirm.
This will uninstall all the updates to the Google Play store. Start the app again — the problem should get resolved.

Removing and then re-adding your Google Account
This is another method by which you can solve the error. To remove the account, follow the steps given below.
- Go to Settings of your phone.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap on Accounts.
- Here, you will see various apps where you have signed in. Select the relevant Google account from the list of apps.
- On the next page, tap on Remove account.
This will remove the Google account from the app. After removing the account, follow the above procedure again to add the account.

Try freeing some space from your device
This error can also be fixed by freeing up the storage space. You can uninstall the apps as well as the files that you don’t need. Or you can transfer the files to your PC or hard disk.
Freeing the space will also boost the device’s speed and performance.
