Download Gaming Dependencies

Gaming dependencies are important game files that are required to run or install the game. Look for any uninstalled Gaming dependencies and then install those.

Here are the steps to do so:

  • Open the Xbox app and then click on Settings.
  • Now, open the General tab from the left menu. If there are any Gaming dependencies left, you will get a notification here.
  • Just click on Install and you are good to go.

Update the Gaming Services app

To update the Gaming Services app, follow the instructions given below:

Step 1: Go to the Microsoft Store app. You can search the app from the search option in the taskbar.

Step 2: Once you are inside the Microsoft Store app, click on Library > Updates and downloads.

Step 3: Click on Update.

Repair and reset the Xbox and Gaming Services app.

Step 1: Open the Settings app and then go to System > Troubleshoot.

Manually select a Storage Drive

Manually selecting a default Storage drive can be one of the fixes for This location isn’t set up for installing games on Xbox.

Follow the steps given below to manually set up a storage location:

Step 1: Open Settings using Windows Key + I. In Settings, click on the System option from the left menu and then click on Storage.

Step 2: Head to Advanced Storage Settings > Where new content is saved.

Step 3: Select a storage location under New apps will save to option and then click on Apply.

Download the game again and this time it should work.
