Facing Capcut network error on PC? Don’t worry; we’re here to help! Capcut is an easy-to-use video editing software developed by ByteDance, which needs an internet connection to run properly. However, it sometimes runs into a network error when a user is trying to use the software on a PC.
In this article, we will discuss several methods to fix the Capcut network error on PC, allowing users to continue running the software without any issues.
Here’s our video explaining how to fix Capcut network error on PC.
4 ways to fix Capcut network error on PC
Here we've covered:
Use VPN
The network connectivity error on Capcut could be caused by the lack of official support for the software in a specific region. Using a VPN to connect to the US or a different region where Capcut is supported could fix the problem. The steps to do so are:
Step 1: Open a VPN client, such as NordVPN or Proton VPN, and connect to a US server or supported region.

Once the VPN is active, try to run Capcut again and the error should be resolved.
Use Cloudflare DNS
Capcut support recommends using the Cloudflare DNS to avoid running into any connectivity issues. The steps to use a Cloudflare DNS are as follows:
Step 1: Search for Control Panel in the Start menu and click on it.

Step 2: Click on Network and Sharing Center.

Step 3: Click on the Change adapter settings option.

Step 4: Right-click the internet connection that you are using and click on Properties.

Step 5: In the new window that opens, select Internet Protocol Version 4 and click Properties.

Step 6: Select the Use the following DNS server addresses option and enter the Preferred (1.1.1.1) and Alternate (1.1.0.0) DNS server address for Cloudflare DNS.

Flush DNS cache
After switching to the new DNS, the problem may persist due to Capcut still using the old DNS server. Flushing the DNS cache will reset it and allow communication to occur using only the new DNS. The steps to flush the DNS cache are:
Step 1: Open the Run prompt by pressing Windows key plus I, and type in, cmd to open a command prompt window.

Step 2: In command prompt, type in the ipconfig /flushdns command and press Enter.

Use legacy version
If none of the methods helped to resolve the problem, it is recommended to install the default version of Capcut. While Capcut is available on the Microsoft Store, it may not be available in your region. We do not recommend using a third-party website to install the default version but if nothing else works, you can try to get Capcut from such websites at your own risk.

After trying the above fixes for Capcut network error, the connectivity problems should be resolved and Capcut should start running without any issues.
