MSI laptops come equipped with the MSI Center utility, which provides users with control over various settings and performance optimisations. However, like any software, MSI Center can sometimes malfunction, causing users to be frustrated.

In this article, we’ll explain the one solution that you need to fix the MSI Center software issues: reinstalling the software.

But before continuing further, you should first close the MSI Center completely. Head to the Action Center and then exit from the MSI Center.

You can head to Task Manager and end any running processes at the MSI Center. It may happen that after exiting the software from the Action Center, you won’t find any running processes in the Task Manager, but it doesn’t hurt to try.
Use Clean Master to uninstall MSI Center
MSI provides a dedicated utility called Clean Center Master to remove MSI Center altogether. However, this tool is not publicly available and is typically provided in MSI’s support documentation:
Step 1: Download Clean Center Master using the official MSI link (usually found in MSI troubleshooting documentation). After that, extract the ZIP file’s content.

Step 2: Run the Clean Center Master executable file and grant the necessary permissions when prompted.

Note: If MSI Center is already installed on your computer, you’ll see a Remove button. Press the button to uninstall MSI Center completely.

Remove leftover MSI Center files
After running the Clean Center Master, follow these steps to uninstall any remaining MSI Center files manually:
Step 1: Press the Windows key + X and select Installed Apps. Alternatively, you can head to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.

Step 2: Search MSI Center or Dragon Center in the list of installed applications, click on the three-dot menu and select Uninstall.

Step 3: Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall once again.

Reinstall MSI Center from Microsoft Store
Once MSI Center is fully removed from your PC, you can easily reinstall it from Microsoft Store:
Step 1: Open the Microsoft Store from the Start menu.

Step 2: Search MSI Center, click the Get button to download and install the latest version of MSI Center.

After installing the software, just restart your PC to complete the setup.
