The Rune and Mastery pages were released alongside the initial release of League of Legends and played an important part in not only early games but also late games. Riot revamped the Mastery and Runes in the Season 8 patch update and much like before, even in the new system, Runes play a major role in the overall gameplay.
While you’ll get several pre-set rune pages when you open your League of Legends account, which can be customised according to your gameplay, you can also get additional rune pages using Blue Essence or RP.
More rune pages can certainly help you make a specific rune page for every one of your favourite champions. If you build your champion-specific rune pages correctly with the accurate runes that help raise a champion’s stats in-game, you’ll might be more imposing during games overall.
At the time of writing, you can buy up to 25 more rune pages. This number is independent of the preset rune pages that come alongwith your League of Legends account.

Getting more Rune Pages in LOL
Login to your account on League of Legend’s client and follow the steps mentioned below to get more Rune pages.
- Click on the Store icon (the one to the left of Orange and Blue essence counter).
- Then click on Accessories option.
- On the next page, click on Rune Pages option from the sidebar to the left.
- You’ll find two options — Additional Rune Page and 7 Rune Page Bundle. Pick the former to get a single rune page or the latter to get a bundle of seven rune pages.
Individual Rune Page
If you choose Additional Rune Page above, you’ll be able to purchase one Rune page either for 590 RP (Riot Points) or 6300 BE (blue essence).

Bundled Rune Pages
If you choose the 7 Rune Page Bundle above, you’ll be able to get seven rune pages at once, but these aren’t available for blue essence. You’ll need to spend 2600RP, which will roughly cost you €20.
If you’re low on cash, but high on Blue essence, it makes more sense to get the individual rune page rather than the seven-rune bundle.
