How to find the MAC address in Windows 11?

Many people have wondered how to find the MAC address in Windows 11. A Media Control Access (MAC) address is the unique hardware identifier of your device. Every device that uses a network connection has a MAC address.

MAC address comprises six sets of hexadecimal digits separated by a colon. For example, a MAC address on your device may look something like this: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E.

Here are four ways you can find the MAC address in Windows 11.


Using Command Prompt

One of the easiest methods is to use Command Prompt to identify your device’s MAC address.

Step 1: Open the Command Prompt by searching cmd in the taskbar search prompt. Or, you can press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialogue box and enter cmd. After that, press Enter to open the Command Prompt.

Step 2: Now, type the following command: ipconfig /all and press Enter.

You will find your device’s MAC address in front of Physical Addresses.

Find MAC address in Windows 11 via Settings

The second way to find the MAC address in Windows 11 is via the Settings app. Press the Windows key + I to launch the Settings app. Or, you can search Settings in the taskbar search bar.

After that, follow the instructions given below:

Step 1: Head to Network and internet and then click on WiFi.

Step 2: Now, click on Hardware properties.

You’ll find the MAC address before the Physical Address (MAC) option.

To find the MAC address of all networks in Windows 11, head to Network and internet > Advanced network settings > Hardware and connection properties.


Use Control Panel

The third way to find the MAC address in Windows 11 is to use the Control Panel.

Step 1: Open Control Panel by typing control panel in the search box and then selecting the app.

Step 2: Next, click on Network and Internet.

Step 3: Select Network and Sharing Center.

Step 4: Next, click on Change adapter settings on the left panel.

Step 5: Next, double-click on WiFi and then click on Details. You will see the MAC address under the Physical Address option.

Using System Information

The fourth way to find the MAC address in Windows 11 is via the System Information app. Type System information in the search box and then click on the result.

Next, expand Components by clicking on the plus button on the left. After that, click on Network and then Adapter.

You will find a list of all the network adapters on the right panel. Search for the MAC addresses of each adapter as per your preference.
