Windows Task Manager is a simple and useful tool to keep a track of all the running apps and background processes. While the Task Manager is great, finding the exact process you’re looking for in a sea of processes can get overwhelming. If you’re tracking details of a certain process, it can be helpful to rename it to something that’d stand out and be more visible in the crowd.

How to rename a program in Task Manager via the Processes tab?

Open the Task Manager using the Windows search bar or press the Windows button + R; type taskmgr and hit Enter. Then follow the steps mentioned below to rename a program.

Step 1: Click on the Processes tab and right-click on the program’s icon or name. Select Properties from the dropdown menu.
