Taking screenshots has always been convenient in Windows and while Windows saves screenshots in JPG by default, you can always change it to any other image format like PNG. Saving screenshots in PDF however can be a bit tricky.
In this article, we’re going over the following three ways you can save your screenshots as PDFs.
- Using Windows Photos app.
- Using the Paint utility.
- Using a web browser of your choice.

How to save screenshots as PDF using the Windows Photos app?
Step 1: Take a screenshot and save it in a location you can remember.
Step 2: Right-click on your screenshot. From the context menu, go to Open with > Photos.

Step 3: Click the Print icon in the top right. Alternatively, you can press CTRL+P to bring up the Print dialogue box.

Step 4: Make sure Microsoft Print to PDF is selected under Printers.

Step 5: Click on the Print button. You’ll be asked to specify a place to save the PDF and you’ll have a PDF of your screenshot.

How to save screenshots as PDF using the Paint utility?
This process is also very similar to what we did previously. Follow the steps below to save screenshots as PDF using Paint.
Step 1: Right-click on your screenshot and click on Edit.

Step 2: When the Paint window opens, press CTRL + P to open the Print dialog box.

Step 3: Make sure that Microsoft Print to PDF is selected under Printers.

Step 4: Click on the Print button. You’ll be asked to specify a place to save the PDF and you’ll have a PDF of your screenshot.

How to save screenshots as PDF using a Web Browser?
Step 1: Right-click on the screenshot. Then go to Open with > Choose another app.

Step 2: Select your web browser of choice from the list. Wait for the screenshot to open in the browser.

Step 3: Press CTRL + P to open the Print dialog box.

Step 4: Make sure that Microsoft Print to PDF is selected under Printers.

Step 5: Click on the Print button. You’ll be asked to specify a place to save the PDF and you’ll have a PDF of your screenshot.
