The Health app in your iPhone automatically counts your walking and running distances along with steps taken throughout the day. Paired with an Apple Watch, it automatically tracks your Activity data. You can manually add information related to your health and get data from your favourite fitness apps or devices compatible with the Health app.

How to sync Health app data with Apple Watch?
When you set up an Apple Watch and pair it with your iPhone, Health automatically starts tracking your fitness activity and captures data daily. However, if the Health app in your device is not storing data automatically, then follow the step mentioned below to sync data from Apple Watch.
- Open Health app on your iPhone. Then tap on your profile picture located on the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on Devices.
- Tap on your Apple Watch.
- Choose Privacy Settings.
- Find Fitness Tracking and make sure it is turned on by sliding the toggle to the right. Turn on Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen Measurements if you want to store that data in Health too.
For other Apple Watch to read and write Health data, you can manage these apps directly on your Apple Watch by following the steps below.
- Tap on Settings from the grid view or list view.
- Scroll down and choose Health from the list of options.
- Under Sources, tap on Apps.
- Tap on the app from which you want read or write Health data. You can Turn All Categories On or specifically choose the categories to allow Health to read data of by sliding the toggle to the right.

How to manually add information on Health?
You can manually add data related to your health on the app by following the steps given below.
- Open Health app and tap on Browse tab located at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on one of the Health Categories that you would like to add data into, like Activity.
- Choose subcategory from the list of options, like Steps.
- Tap on Add Data located at the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Enter the Date, Time and date for that activity. Tap Add to save.

How to add information from other apps?
Health app will automatically gather data from other compatible applications. However, if you want to add information from other apps manually, follow the steps mentioned below.
- Open Health app on your iPhone. Then tap on your profile picture located on the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Under Privacy, choose Apps. You can see applications that are already installed in your device and are compatible with Health. If you do not see an app, it might not be compatible with Health.
- Tap on the app from which you want to add information to Health.
- You can Turn All Categories On or specifically choose the categories to allow Health to read data of by sliding the toggle to the right.
Please note, there may be a possibility that an app is compatible with Health but in order for Health to gather data you might need to open the app and adjust its settings to allow it to share data with Health.

How to find apps that are compatible with Health?
You can find compatible applications for a particular category like sleep through Health. Follow the steps given below to find categorised apps compatible with Health.
- Open Health app then tap on Browser tab located at the bottom of the screen.
- choose the category you want to find apps in like Sleep.
- Scroll down to see recommended apps for that category, then tap on the app to learn about and download it.
- As mentioned above, go to the privacy settings in Health app to allow that app to read and write data in your Health app.
