As an avid online shopper, you may have used Amazon quite often. When we often browse Amazon at night with the lights off, our eyes may get strained, letting us wonder if Amazon has a dark mode.
The dark mode is a feature that changes the app’s background to apply less strain on your eyes. Many apps and operating systems, such as Snapchat, WhatsApp, YouTube, Windows, and Mac, have integrated this functionality. Moreover, the Dark mode feature also saves your device’s battery.
Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t have a dark mode feature on its app or website. But worry not; there are a few ways and workarounds for this problem.
In this article, we’ll deal with a few such workarounds that will help you circumvent the non-availability of the dark mode on Amazon.

Android users
Android users can turn on the night light on their Android devices. It is not exactly like dark mode, but it will protect your eyes.

Head to Settings > Display > Night light to turn it on and access other options.
Another way is to turn on the dark mode feature via the developer options. To do this, head to Settings > About phone > Build number. Then, tap on the Build number option about seven times to open the developer options.

Next, head to Settings > System > Developer options and turn on the toggle before Override force-dark.
Once you are done, open the Amazon app, and you will see that the app will open in dark mode.

Windows users

Similarly, you can turn on the Night light in Windows too. Search the Night light in the search bar and then turn on the toggle.

For dark mode on apps and websites, you can install the Night Eye extension. This extension can be useful if you use the internet too much. It customises each webpage according to the page colours and converts them into dark mode.
Use this extension to turn on dark mode on the Amazon website.
iPhone and Mac users
Unfortunately, iPhone and Mac users cannot opt for dark mode on the Amazon app or website as the default Safari browser does not support dark mode even if you turn on the dark mode feature from the settings.
However, you can opt for other browsers like Edge and install the Night Eye extension. This way, you can view the Amazon website in dark mode.
In conclusion, the Amazon app and website don’t support dark mode. To use the Amazon app or website in dark mode, you must tweak your device’s settings.
