How to right-click from the keyboard on Windows?

If you use Windows and are stuck in a situation where you cannot use the mouse or your mouse is broken, and you wish to use the right-click, then below we have explained a few ways to help you do that.

Turn on the mouse keys

In Windows 10, a feature called Mouse Keys lets you control the mouse pointer using your keyboard. To turn on the Mouse Keys in Windows 10, follow the steps below.

Step 1: In the Windows search, type the Mouse keys and click on the first option in the results.

Step 2: Turn the toggle on below Control your mouse with a keypad.

Step 3: After enabling the mouse keys, you can use the number keys as mouse buttons. Use the + button on your keyboard to right-click.


Use the Menu key

On many Windows keyboards, a menu key is available. You can use that menu key to right-click on Windows.

How to right-click from the keyboard on Mac?

If you use Mac and want to know how to right-click from the keyboard, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Click on the Apple icon, and then click on the System Settings option in the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Click on the Accessibility; in the Motor section, click on the Pointer option.

Step 3: Turn the toggle on beside the Mouse Keys.

Step 4: Now, turn the toggle on beside the Alternative Pointer Actions and then click on the info (i) icon beside the toggle bar.

Step 5: To modify the key linked to a particular action, first, pick the action from the list and then press the Triple Horizontal Dots button.

Step 6: Now, Click on the Reassign button, press the key you want to use as a right-click, and then click on the Done button to save the changes.
