Apart from making top-notch gaming laptops, MSI also makes a lot of hardware, especially GPUs. To go along with its impressive lineup of GPUs, MSI also has a few software to enhance their user’s experiences. One such neat tool is the MSI Afterburner.

It’s a software used to overclock your GPU to extract the maximum performance possible out of whatever card you’re rocking. Initially, the software only worked with MSI cards but it has now been tweaked to work with just about any GPU. So even if you’re running a non-MSI card, chances are you’ll be able to overclock it regardless.

In this article, we’re going to talk about how you can set up MSI Afterburner on your machine.

Do keep in mind that overclocking your PC hardware is risky business, especially if you’re on a laptop, where the components do not have as much thermal headroom. You run a serious risk of permanent component damage so be sure of what you’re doing.
