Developed by Dassault Systemes primarily for Windows, Computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering tool, Solidworks has been through several iterations through the years. However, Windows 11’s incremental upgrades to Windows 10 as well as several new features, meant existing Solidworks versions were not compatible with the new Windows OS.
That said, Solidworks 2022 SP2 was released on April 25, 2022, which introduced support for Windows 11.

Does Solidworks work on Windows 11?
As mentioned above, Solidworks 2022 SP2 (EDU 2022-2023) and the newer version — Solidworks 2023 (EDU 2023-2024) work on Windows 11 (64-bit).
However, Solidworks 2021 (EDU 2021-2022) doesn’t work on Windows 11.

No end of support has been announced for any of the active Solidworks products for Windows 10 either. So, if you’re still on Windows 10, feel free to use any Solidworks products without hassle.
